What has your institution done to tweak the federated search user interface to make it easier to use and to alleviate any information literacy issues?

We have provided subject pages that allow the user to select of de-select databases that he/she wants to search.

We are just getting our federated search pages set up. I am very interested in where, how, etc. libraries are incorporating this into their web pages.
